Since high school Physical education (PE), fitness and sports have always been a passion of mine. Coming from a school who wore heart rate monitors to gym class, you can say PE for me wasn’t an easy A. My passion for sports and fitness led me to Edinboro University of Pennsylvania where I received a B.S. in Health and Physical Education – Health and Human Performance and then on to George Washington University where I most recently received a M.S. in Exercise Science with a focus in Strength and Conditioning. My role in sports started at the age of 8 where I played recreational softball and soccer and continued in to middle school and high school where I participated in track and field and varsity cheerleading.

My coaching career began at George Washington University as I interned as a strength and conditioning coach for the Colonials, later becoming the head strength and conditioning coach for the Firebirds at the University of the District of Columbia.  Coaching at the collegiate level was an amazing experience, but it led me to recognize my true passion in youth development. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a child with a huge smile on their face, after they confidently completed a challenging skill. I am a huge advocate of never saying the words “I can’t” and to hear a three old say that really comes down to the lack of confidence and exposure. I truly enjoy building their confidence and developing skills beyond any expectation a book can offer. Just as an adult, a child must be challenged in order to grow, but they can only be challenged if they are exposed to a skill they have yet to try.

Developing Jr. Elite Fitness has been a dream of mine. To be able to provide children and athletes with the resources to develop skills that will last them a life time is no longer unimaginable. Fitness is pivotal to a healthy lifestyle and essential to sports performance. Proper technique and understanding how the body develops allows me to help children and athletes excel in day to day life. Plus, I get to go to work every day saying “I Love My Job!”
