Who We Are

Jr. Fit is a youth sports and fitness company that invests it’s time to make sure youth athletes are provided the proper instruction to reach their optimal potential in both sports and day-to-day life. Our mission is to instill the lives of young athletes through fun, evidence based programs that build a foundation of knowledge and skills that will last them a life time. 

What We Do: 

As sports become more and more competitive and kids are motivated to become more and more active, the word injury will make post parents and coaches cringe. Injury from sports and active play at the ages of 6-12 years should be rare, but unfortunately it is becoming more common than we would like to see. What is missing? The foundation, the basics of movement, and a child’s ability to tolerate the demands that are being put on his/her body during any sport or activity of their choice.

How can we help you might ask? Jr. Fit coaches use a sound and systematic approach to working with youth athletes to develop a foundation of fundamental movements and techniques used in sports. While children should not be treated as adults especially when it comes to training, the need for exposure to the movement patterns used on and off the field is critical in their ability to avoid injury and excel in the sport/activity of their choice. From speed and agility drills to running and landing mechanics and the use of basic body weight exercises to build relative strength and fitness, Jr. Fit helps turn challenging sessions into fun! Using age appropriate games, drills, and circuits, we do not only help develop fitness and keep your child injury free, but we build confidence and leadership. Providing more than just skill, but also the knowledge behind the importance of training to instill habits that will last a lifetime!

Progress & Accountability:

 To ensure our athletes are reaching their potential and getting the most out of their sessions, Jr. Fit coaches take the time to evaluate and track each session to make it possible for individual achievement! Our athletes encourage each other, but it is the coach’s job to ensure continual growth and consistent progress with each session. To be able to see their own growth will build both character and confidence! Fitness evaluations will be completed at the beginning of each 8 week program.
